What a very busy week this has been. Wednesday woke up to quite a snowstorm. A LOT of snow and it kept snowing by evening we were pretty well dumped on. They cancelled Church and Awanas (they never cancel). Schools were cancelled for Thursday (The first time in three years). And business were closing early on Wednesday so people could get home.
People were getting their cars stuck on the side streets (were most people live) and were just abandoning their cars. Dan snow blowed and snow blowed and snow blowed.
Thursday things were moving, but not very much. Dan snow blowed and snow blowed and snow blowed (he helped out two of the neighbors). Dan didn't go to work Wednesday or Thursday.
Today, the schools are back open, starting an hour later and the rural buses are not running. The snow has stopped, it's over my knees. (No smart comments from the peanut gallery please!!). But, over night our temperatures plummetted and the wind picked up a little. So, now I can't go out because I'm not supposed to go out in extreme cold. It was -11 when I got up this morning with a wind shield factor of -35. It has warmed up a little, but not much.
I guess it is a good thing that there is no skating tomorrow.
I hope we get to go to church on Sunday. It will be good to see everyone again.
Yesterday I felt pretty good. Today I didn't feel good before I even got out of bed. I have definately noticed a difference in my symptoms at high altitude vs. low altitude.
